Most of us price by feel. Twenty quid sounds about right.

Then Etsy takes its share, Royal Mail goes up in April, and a failed plate eats 30 g of silk PLA you'll never get back. By the end of the month it's hard to say whether the busy weeks were good ones.

Spoolmint does the sums every time, with your own numbers: what you paid for the printer, what your electricity costs, how long you spend sanding and packing. Change one and every price that uses it changes too.

Then it runs the rest of the day.

I'm letting shops in a few at a time.

I'm Bruno. I run a small print shop and built Spoolmint for it first. Now I'd like other shops to use it, break it and tell me what's missing.

It's free for as long as the beta runs. I'll help you get your printers and filaments in, you'll have my email, and when you tell me something's wrong I'll fix it and let you know when it's in. Shops that join now will get a better deal than anyone after them when paid plans start.

Spoolmint works for shops in the UK and Brazil, in English and Portuguese.

Questions shops ask

Does it only work with Bambu printers?

Any printer your slicer knows works, because quotes come from the sliced file. There are over 400 models in the printer list.

Do I need to type in all my filaments?

Pick them from a list of over 4,700 colours and say which slot each roll is in, or that it's on the shelf.

What happens to my model files?

They're yours. We don't use them, share them or train anything on them, and deleting one deletes it.

I'm VAT registered, or on Simples Nacional.

Both work, along with the Flat Rate Scheme, MEI and not being registered at all.
